The Day

Split to Trogir, how the day works

A short private round-trip from Split with your driver waiting — from €120 per vehicle, door-to-door. Fuel and an English-speaking driver included.

It's just 27 km up the coast from Split to Trogir — about 30 minutes, past the airport. The whole old town sits on a small island between the mainland and the island of Čiovo, joined by short bridges, and it's UNESCO-listed as one of the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic towns in Central Europe.

The centrepiece is the Cathedral of St Lawrence, with the extraordinary carved Radovan portal (1240) and a bell tower you can climb for views over the terracotta roofs. Add the seaside Kamerlengo fortress, the Cipiko palaces, and the marble streets that are the real pleasure — small enough to feel, easily, in a half-day.

Because it's private and close, Trogir pairs nicely with a swim on Čiovo, or a stop at the Klis fortress on the way back. Your driver waits and returns you to Split door-to-door.
