Your Journey

PRG to Prague, step by step

Collect your bags and walk out into the arrivals hall of your terminal, Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Your driver meets you there, and the road runs east into the city: road 6, the Prague City Ring and across the Vltava to the Old Town.

Prague Airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Send us your flight number with the request so the driver is waiting at the right one.

A

Prague Airport (PRG)

Ruzyně · Arrivals hall, Terminal 1 or 2

Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall, helps with the bags and heads east on road 6 towards the city. About 17 km, roughly 30 minutes without traffic.

B

Prague

Old Town, Malá Strana or any Prague address

The City Ring brings you to the river and over the Vltava into the centre. Drop-off at your hotel or address — where a street in the historic centre is closed to cars, at the nearest point a car can reach.

Things to Know

Bus, Airport Express or a private car

Public transport leaves from both terminals: line 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín on metro line A, bus 100 to Zličín and bus 191 to Anděl, both on metro line B, night lines 910 and 907, and the Airport Express (AE) bus to Prague Main Railway Station. Check the current timetable before travelling. A private car is the simpler choice with suitcases, children or a late arrival: no metro change, no ticket to work out, and you are driven to the door of your hotel or apartment.

Prague Airport to Prague questions

How far is Prague Airport from the city centre?

+

About 17 km by road, roughly 30 minutes without traffic. The airport is on the north-western outskirts of Prague, in the Ruzyně district.

Which terminal will I arrive at?

+

Prague Airport has Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Your booking or airline tells you which; send us your flight number and the driver meets you in the arrivals hall of that terminal.

Which route does the driver take into Prague?

+

Road 6 east from the airport, then the Prague City Ring (MO) and across the Vltava into the Old Town. The driver may choose another way on the day depending on traffic.

Is there public transport from the airport?

+

Yes. Line 59 runs to Nádraží Veleslavín (metro A), bus 100 to Zličín and bus 191 to Anděl (both metro B), night lines 910 and 907 run after hours, and the Airport Express bus goes to Prague Main Railway Station. Check the current timetable before travelling.

Can you drop us at a hotel in the Old Town?

+

Yes, we drive to your hotel or address. Some streets in the historic centre are closed to cars; if yours is, we stop as close as cars are allowed and help with the bags.

Why book a private transfer instead of the bus?

+

It goes door to door with your luggage, without a change onto the metro, and the driver is waiting when you come out. It also suits groups and families, and child seats are free on request.

How is the price set?

+

This route is priced on request. We quote per vehicle, not per passenger, for your date, group and address, and you receive the quote in writing before you commit to anything.
