The A2 takes the bypass around the Slovenian capital. A stop in the centre is a short detour if you want a walk or a meal before the border.
After Novo Mesto the road leaves the motorway for the Croatian border, a Schengen-internal crossing. Police checks or temporary border controls may occur; have a passport or national ID card ready.
Instead of the D42, the last part of the drive can follow the D1 by Karlovac and through Slunj, past the watermill village of Rastoke. Ask for it in your request.
The national park has two entrances about 3 km apart. Tell us Entrance 1, Entrance 2 or the name and address of your accommodation, and we drop you off there.
