Your driver waits at the arrivals exit holding a sign with your name. Free waiting up to 60 minutes from your scheduled landing time.
The Stari Most bridge and the bazaar at the foot of it — almost everyone stops here, and most regret only doing 20 minutes.
Ottoman stone bridge over emerald-green water. Quieter than Mostar, just as photogenic.
Where east meets west — Ottoman bazaars next to Habsburg facades, mosques next to churches and synagogues.
We use the Bijača crossing — the main and fastest Croatia–Bosnia border on this route. Since 10 April 2026 the EU's Entry/Exit System (EES) is fully live: non-EU passports (UK, US, Canada, Australia, etc.) are no longer stamped on Schengen exit. Instead a face scan plus fingerprints are captured on the first crossing, then verified by face scan only on subsequent trips. First registration adds about 3–5 minutes per vehicle; later crossings are typically faster than the old stamp-and-hand-back. ETIAS pre-authorisation for UK/US/Canada passport holders is expected to become mandatory in late 2026 — we'll flag it at booking once the EU confirms the date.

Yes — at Bijača, the main Croatia–Bosnia crossing. Since 10 April 2026 the EU's Entry/Exit System is live, so non-EU passports (UK, US, Canada, AU, etc.) are biometrically scanned on Schengen exit instead of being stamped. We handle the paperwork side; you may need to step out briefly for the face scan on first crossings. Typical wait is 5–15 minutes.
Most guests do — it's halfway and the Stari Most bridge is on the route. A 60-minute walk is enough for the bridge and bazaar; a 2-hour stop adds lunch.
Croatian side is motorway. Bosnian side is mostly two-lane mountain road, well-maintained but slower — that's why the drive takes nearly 5 hours despite being only 252 km.
Direct buses run Split–Sarajevo at 7+ hours. Trains don't connect the two cities. For two or more travellers our private rate is competitive once luggage and timing are factored in.
